ADG728/ADG729 are CMOS low-voltage 2-wire serially controlled matrix switches. ADG728 is an 8-channel matrix switch, while ADG729 is a dual 4-channel matrix switch. On resistance is closely matched between switches and very flat over the full signal range. These parts can be used in data acquisition systems, communication systems, relay replacement, audio and video switching, and automatic test equipment.
The ADG728 is an 8‑channel matrix switch and the ADG729 a dual 4‑to‑1 matrix switch. Both devices use a 2‑wire serial interface compatible with the I²C™ standard, allowing up to four devices of each type to share a single bus. They feature low on‑resistance (2.5 Ω typical), flat resistance across channels, and break‑before‑make switching to prevent shorting.
Typical applications include data‑acquisition systems, communication equipment, relay replacement, audio/video switching, and automatic test equipment. The parts are supplied in a 16‑lead TSSOP package and operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply.
| On‑Resistance (Ron) typical | 2.5 Ω |
|---|---|
| On‑Resistance Flatness typical | 0.75 Ω |
| Supply voltage range | 2.7 V to 5.5 V |
| Package | 16‑Lead TSSOP (RU‑16) |
| Maximum source OFF leakage current (typ) | 0.01 nA |
Both devices can be powered from a single supply between 2.7 V and 5.5 V.
Up to four ADG728 devices and four ADG729 devices can be connected to the same 2‑wire serial bus, each with a unique address set by the AO and AL pins.
The typical on‑resistance is 2.5 Ω.
Both parts are offered in a 16‑lead Thin‑Shrink Small Outline Package (TSSOP).
