About this manual

The AD8327 is a digitally controlled variable gain line driver designed for DOCSIS upstream applications such as cable modems and set‑top boxes. It offers a programmable gain range of 48.16 dB in 6.02 dB steps, low distortion up to 60 dBmV output, and maintains a constant 75 Ω output impedance in both transmit‑enable and transmit‑disable modes.

The device operates from a single 5 V supply, is packaged in a 20‑lead TSSOP, and functions over an ambient temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C. It includes SPI‑compatible control pins, sleep mode for low quiescent current, and a full set of absolute‑maximum ratings and pin descriptions.
