About this manual

The ADM12914 quad voltage supervisor monitors up to four power rails for undervoltage (UV) and overvoltage (OV) conditions. Each rail uses a pair of pins (VHx and VLx) and the device provides a 1 V buffered reference output for negative‑voltage monitoring. The SEL pin selects the polarity for the third and fourth inputs, enabling both positive and negative supply supervision.

Key features include adjustable UV/OV thresholds, a low‑power shunt regulator for operation up to 6 V (or higher with a dropper resistor), open‑drain UV/OV outputs, and glitch immunity. The device operates from –40 °C to +125 °C and is supplied in a 16‑lead QSOP package.

Frequently asked questions

How can the ADM12914 be used with supply voltages above 6 V?

An external dropper resistor is placed between the supply rail and the VCC pin to limit current to less than 10 mA, enabling the internal shunt regulator to operate with higher voltages.

What is the typical supply current of the device?

The typical supply current is 62 µA at 25 °C.
