The MTS-8000 Tester is a flexible, scalable platform for a wide range of optical network tests, including attenuation, dispersion, DWDM, FTTx, PDH/T‑Carrier, SDH/SONET, and Ethernet up to 10 GigE. It offers interchangeable OTDR, loss‑test, PMD, CD, and DWDM modules, all controllable via Ethernet or fiber.
Key hardware features include a 10.4‑inch TFT color LCD (800 × 600), internal 16 MB memory (optional 20 GB hard disk), multiple I/O ports (RS‑232C, 2 × USB, VGA, RJ45 Ethernet, optional RJ11), and a battery‑backed power supply with AC/DC adapter.
