This document describes the features and characteristics of JDSU ITU components, including lowest chromatic dispersion, exceptional reliability and environmental stability, low insertion loss, flat and extrawide passband, and high demux channel isolation. These components can be used in metro networks, long-haul networks, denser channel plans, and 40 Gbps applications.
The JDSU DWS Series WDM filters provide a 100 GHz extrawide passband with low chromatic dispersion, low insertion loss, and high channel isolation for 40 Gbps metro and long‑haul network applications. They comply with Telcordia GR‑1221 and are manufactured using laser‑welding technology for reliability and environmental stability.
Key specifications include a minimum passband width of 14.1 GHz, maximum insertion loss of 1.1 dB, and operating temperature range from –5 °C to 75 °C. The filters are available for various fiber types (9/125/250 µm, 9/125/900 µm) and can be ordered with different connector options.
| Passband width (minimum) | 14.1 GHz (+0.115 nm) |
