This application note provides a method for enhancing the detection sensitivity of tobramycin using pre-column derivatization with orthophthalaldehyde (OPA). The method can be used to analyze poorly detectable polar compounds, such as tobramycin.
This document describes a method for sample cleanup of tobramycin in serum using pre-SPE derivatization with orthophthalaldehyde (OPA) to enhance selectivity. The method improves the cleanup of tobramycin from a biological matrix by pre-SPE derivatization with OPA and enhances detection sensitivity through fluorescence detection of the derivative formed.
This document describes a method for the identification and quantification of pesticides and herbicides in water using liquid chromatography (LC) and diode array detector (DAD). The method was developed not only for the separation and detection of 17 common herbicides but also 19 additional herbicides and pesticides of possible interest. The methodology consists of: • Sample preparation by Solid Phase Extraction using Empore Disk technology • Separation by HPLC • Peak identification by Spectral Library Search using a Diode Array Detector
This article describes the method of quantitation of partially resolved peaks using multicomponent analysis (MCA) in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array detection. MCA allows accurate quantitation and identification of unknown components even under partial or zero resolution conditions. It also provides a more thorough assessment of peak homogeneity compared to other purity assessment techniques. The method enables quantitation of small peaks fused to a major peak, even when they are not visually detected or integrated separately, without the need to select different optimum wavelengths to distinguish the compounds.
This application note describes the use of a fully automated on-line LC-GC system for the clean-up and determination of PAH in urban air particulate extracts. The system consists of a high-performance liquid chromatograph (LC) coupled on-line to a gas chromatograph (GC).
This application note describes a method for rapid separation and quantitation of a mixture of 10 non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) using fast high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and diode array detector (DAD). Separations are performed in less than 5 minutes using a 3-cm long column. To enhance resolution, two wavelengths, 254 and 360 nm, are used. Quantitation is performed by integrating the peak areas of the absorbance peaks at each wavelength. This method can be used to rapidly identify and quantify the NSAIDs present in a mixture.
The document introduces the application of Star 9080 Amperometric Electrochemical Detector . The detector is used to analyze the standards of 30 nmol/L noradrenaline (1), adrenaline (2) and dopamine (3).
This document describes the method of using the Varian Star 9080 Amperometric Electrochemical Detector for pulsed amperometric detection of disaccharides. The document provides detailed information on the instrument, column, flow rate, mobile phase, sample, temperature, and flow cell parameters used.
This article presents the experimental results of analyzing phenoxyacid herbicides and bentazone in water samples using automated on-line solid-phase extraction. The method can be used for frequent monitoring of contaminants in the river Rhine and drinking water samples.
This document describes a high-performance liquid chromatography method that uses fluorescence detection following post-column derivatization for enhanced sensitivity and selectivity. This method has become the method of choice for the analysis of carbamate residues in both food and water.
This article presents a method for the USP assay of ibuprofen oral suspension using Varian 920-LC and Pursuit™ XRs C8 column. The results obtained from the experiment show that all performance requirements of the USP methods are satisfied and demonstrate a significant enhancement in laboratory productivity when using this system.
