This Application note describes a new back current circuit (BC2) for PFC applications, based on the soft switching method. The patented circuit has better efficiency/cost/power and density/EMI trade-offs than high voltage SiC Schottky diodes, and is suitable for applications such as desktop server power supplies, solar inverters and µinverters.

This document introduces STMicroelectronics' Turbo2 600 V ultrafast diodes, including their technology information, the trade-off between VF and Qrr, platinum doping, and low leakage current.

This application note explains how to choose the best Schottky diode for automotive applications. It explains the trade-off between the forward voltage drop and the breakdown voltage, and provides the test methods for the reverse avalanche performance of Schottky diodes.

This document describes the SPV1020, a monolithic DC-DC boost converter designed to maximize the power generated by photovoltaic panels independent of temperature and the amount of solar radiation. It uses an embedded logic to perform the MPPT (maximum power point tracking) algorithm on the PV cells connected to the converter.

100W LED Switched-mode power supply (SMPS) application note describes the performance of the L6585DE driver, which can be used to build LED SMPS demonstration board (STEVAL-ILL038V1). This driver integrates a high-performance transition mode (TM) power factor correction (PFC) controller, half-bridge (HB) controller and all the relevant drivers necessary to build a combo IC.

This document is a manual for the Waterford Systems high-rate sand filter system, designed for above ground swimming pools. The sand filter system offers quiet, efficient performance and is durable and reliable.
