About this manual

The document explains how to integrate In-Circuit Communication (ICC) connectors into application hardware to allow programming of ST7 XFLASH or HDFLASH microcontrollers while mounted on a board. It specifies the use of a 10-pin HE-10 type connector and outlines the necessary signal connections for various programmer models.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum number of pins required for ICC connection?

A minimum of 4 and as many as 6 pins of your ST7 must be connected to the programming tool.

When should VDD_APPLI be connected?

It must be connected when using any ST7MDTxx-EPB programmer with ICP capability (except the ST7MDTS1-EPB) or for STICK depending on application voltage.

What should be done if communication fails?

Check that the ICC cable is properly connected, the right microcontroller is selected, hardware meets requirements, and the correct programming mode is chosen.
