Open a web browser on a computer on the same network and either use Web Assistant (find.synology.com) or enter the NAS IP address with port 5000 (e.g., http://Synology_Server_IP:5000).
In DSM, go to the QuickConnect settings and enable the service, which creates a unique ID that lets you access DSM over the Internet without configuring port forwarding.
Open Control Panel, select Shared Folder, click Create, specify the folder name, location, and permissions, then apply the settings.
