About this manual

These high‑gain optocouplers use a LED and integrated photodetector to achieve very high current transfer ratios while requiring only low input current. They are suitable for ground isolation, line‑receiver, telephone ring detection, and other low‑power logic applications.

The devices are offered in 8‑pin DIP, wide‑body DIP, and SO‑8 packages and carry UL, CSA, VDE 0884 and BSI safety approvals. Electrical specifications include a supply voltage range of 4.5 V to 18 V, up to 60 mA output current, and isolation ratings up to 5000 V rms for 1 minute.
