The HOLD switch may be in the HOLD position, the battery could be exhausted, or the battery may not be inserted correctly.
The earphone plug might not be inserted properly, or the volume may be set to the minimum level.
Recording stops when the recorder is in STOP mode, when the current file folder is full, or when the maximum number of files (100) has been reached.
