DC339-A/-B are low noise micropower voltage regulators using the LT ®1762 and LT1962 in the 8-lead MSOP package. These circuits are primarily used in cellular phones, voltage-controlled oscillators and RF power supplies, and as local regulators in larger systems. Their ability to tolerate a wide range of input voltages and output voltages, and their low noise and low quiescent current make them ideal for these applications.
This document is a demonstration manual for the DC339-A and DC339-B low noise micropower voltage regulator circuits. These circuits utilize the LT1762 and LT1962 integrated circuits in an 8-lead MSOP package, designed primarily for use in cellular phones, voltage-controlled oscillators, and RF power supplies. The manual provides typical performance characteristics, including input voltage ranges, output voltage tolerances, and quiescent current specifications.
| Input Voltage Range | 2.3V to 20V |
|---|---|
| Output Voltage (Typical) | 1.205V to 1.235V |
| Quiescent Current | 30mA to 50mA |
| Load Regulation (DC339-A) | 0.2% to 1% |
| Output Voltage Noise | 20 mVRMS |
| Package Type | 8-lead MSOP |
The DC339-A circuit uses the LT1762, and the DC339-B circuit uses the LT1962.
A 3.3µF minimum output value with an ESR of 3Ω or less is recommended.
The X5R and X7R dielectrics are recommended because they have more stable characteristics.
