This datasheet introduces the design, use and performance testing methods of DC416 circuit board
The DC416 demonstration board features the LTC1864 16-bit 250ksps analog-to-digital converter. It is designed to evaluate the performance of the LTC1864 using the Linear Technology PScope data acquisition system or other parallel/serial acquisition systems. The board demonstrates proper layout techniques, including grounding, bypass capacitors, and signal routing, to achieve full ADC performance.
| ADC Resolution | 16-bit |
|---|---|
| Sample Rate | 250ksps |
| Input Bandwidth Limit | -3dB at 1.5MHz |
| Clock Input Frequency | 20MHz |
| Supply Voltage (+) | +8V to +15V |
The board provides a means to evaluate the performance of the LTC1864 with the PScope data acquisition system or other systems.
With default jumpers in place, the board results in a 250ksps conversion rate.
No, the board is shipped with jumpers set to allow the use of an external oscillator at 80 times the sample rate, or it can use the onboard LTC1799 oscillator.
