This document introduces the basic concepts and usage of EDP system
The EDP System is a flexible embedded development board designed for industrial controllers, scientific instruments, and datalogging applications. It features an Extended Euro card size motherboard with four identical stations that support various plug-in processor and application modules.
The system utilizes standardized connectors (EDPCON1 and EDPCON2) to provide a unified interface for microcontrollers, including signals for I2C, CAN, SPI, motor control, and memory cards. The platform supports multiple CPU modules from manufacturers like ST Microelectronics and Infineon.
| Motherboard Size | Extended Euro card size (220 x 100 mm) |
|---|---|
| Connector Type | 64-way DIN (RS 381-8696) |
| Connector Pin Count | 240 pins total (140 and 100 pins) |
| I2C Buses Available | Up to three I2C buses |
