Analog Devices AD5260/AD5262 Digital Potentiometer Datasheet

AD5260/AD5262 are digital potentiometers with 256-bit, 20 kΩ, 50 kΩ, 200 kΩ resistance values to choose from. They have low temperature coefficient and 4-wire SPI compatible serial data input. They are suitable as alternatives to mechanical potentiometers and can be used for applications such as gain and offset voltage adjustment in instrumentation, stereo channel volume control, programmable voltage-to-current conversion, etc.

About this manual

The AD5260 and AD5262 are 1 or 2 channel, 256-bit, digitally controlled variable resistors (VR) that provide electronic adjustment similar to mechanical potentiometers. These devices feature a fixed resistor with a wiper tap controlled by a digital code loaded into a serial input register. The resistance between the wiper and either terminal (A or B) is fully programmable, while the total resistance (A to B) remains fixed at 20 kΩ, 50 kΩ, or 200 kΩ with a low temperature coefficient of 35 ppm/°C.
