This document describes the five-year limited warranty for the Aqua Solar GL-235 solar controls and accessories manufactured by Hayward Inc. The warranty applies to products sold and installed within the USA and Canada, and covers defects in material or workmanship for 5 years from the date of manufacture. The warranty requires proper installation according to the instructions and specifications. Hayward does not cover the cost of product removal or reinstallation. This warranty supersedes any previous warranty statements prior to November 1, 2010.
The Hayward GL-235 is a differential temperature control designed for the solar heating of pools, spas, and hot tubs. It features an adjustable, calibrated water temperature high limit and supports automatic nocturnal cooling and recirculate freeze protection functions via internal jumpers. The unit accepts input power of either 115VAC or 240VAC and controls a 24VAC automatic valve actuator, with an option to switch to 12VAC for older systems.

The GL-235 must be mounted a minimum of 5 feet horizontally from the pool or spa.
To use the GL-235 with older 12VAC valves, you must move jumper J4 located on the right side of the circuit board.
Hayward provides a five-year limited warranty covering defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service.
