The HI504901 is an intelligent interface designed to connect Hanna meters with RS232 and RS485 ports to an industrial GSM cellular phone. It enables the sending of Short Messaging Service (SMS) messages for alarms, errors, status updates, and real-time values. The device can also connect to a local or remote computer equipped with a modem through the internal cellular phone.
The interface supports various Hanna meter series including HI8001/8002 via RS232 channels #1 and #2, and HI23/24, HI700/710, HI504, and HI504910 series via the RS485 port. It features a digital input for non-intelligent instruments with alarm relays and a digital output that can be controlled remotely. Configuration is performed using the provided HI504901SW Windows-compatible application software.
