About this manual

The PCF2103 family is a low-power CMOS LCD controller and driver designed to drive dot matrix LCD displays of 2 lines by 12 characters or 1 line by 24 characters with a 5x8 dot format. The device integrates all necessary functions for the display, including on-chip generation of LCD bias voltages, which minimizes external components and reduces system current consumption. It interfaces to microcontrollers via a 4 or 8-bit parallel bus or a 2-wire I2C-bus.
