This file introduces the features of bq2002C Fast-Charge IC, including fast charging, direct LED output display charging status, fast charging termination, internal band-gap voltage reference, selectable pulsed trickle charge rates, low power mode, etc.
The bq2002C Fast-Charge Management IC is designed to provide reliable charge termination for nickel-cadmium (NiCd) and nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery applications. It integrates fast charge with pulsed-trickle control in a single chip, suitable for use as a stand-alone or system-integrated charger.
The device initiates fast charging upon application of power or battery replacement but inhibits charging if the battery temperature or voltage falls outside configured limits. Charging is terminated based on peak voltage detection (PVD), negative delta voltage (-AV), maximum voltage, maximum temperature, or maximum time settings.
| Battery Chemistry Support | NiCd/NiMH |
