About this manual

The Philips 74HC/HCT4053 is a high-speed Si-gate CMOS device functioning as a triple 2-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer. It is pin-compatible with the '4053' of the '4000B' series and specified in compliance with JEDEC standard no. 7A.

The device features low ON resistance, logic level translation capabilities, and a typical break-before-make built-in output capability. Each multiplexer/demultiplexer has two independent inputs/outputs (1Yp/nYp and 2Yp/nYp) and a common input/output (3Z), controlled by digital select inputs S1 to S3 and an active LOW enable input E.
