The Philips 74HC/HCT283 is a high-speed Si-gate CMOS device designed for 4-bit binary addition. It is pin compatible with low power Schottky TTL (LSTTL) and features fast internal look-ahead carry logic. The device adds two 4-bit binary words and an incoming carry, producing sum outputs and an outgoing carry.
