Key capabilities include multi-channel output up to 5.1 channels (including subwoofer), support for Dolby® Pro Logic II®, and proprietary ST royalty-free processing technologies such as WideSurround, OmniSurround, Dynamic Bass, and SRS® WOW™. The chip integrates features like Smart Volume Control, a 5-band equalizer, and independent volume/balance control for loudspeakers and headphones.
