The Intel 8155H and 8156H are N-channel depletion mode silicon gate technology (HMOS) chips designed for use in 8085AH and 8088 microprocessor systems. The device integrates a 2K-bit static RAM organized as 256 x 8, three general-purpose I/O ports, and a 14-bit programmable timer-counter.

The maximum access time is 400 ns to permit use with no wait states in an 8085AH CPU.
On the 8155H, the CE pin is active low; on the 8156H, it is active high.
