This document describes the features and characteristics of the TPS775xx and TPS776xx series products, including fast transient response, 500mA low-dropout voltage regulator, adjustable and fixed output versions, etc.
The TPS775xx and TPS776xx devices are fast-transient-response, 500-mA low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulators designed for high performance at a reasonable cost. They feature an ultra-low typical quiescent current of 85 µA and a dropout voltage as low as 169 mV at 500 mA load. The TPS775xx series includes an open-drain power-on reset (RESET) output with a 200-ms delay, while the TPS776xx series features an active high power good (PG) output.
| Output Current | 500 mA |
|---|---|
| Typical Quiescent Current | 85 µA |
| Dropout Voltage (TPS77x33) | 169 mV |
| Input Voltage Range (TPS775xx) | 1.5 V to 5.5 V |
The typical quiescent current is 85 µA over the full range of output current from 0 mA to 500 mA.
The dropout voltage is typically 169 mV at an output current of 500 mA.
The devices are available in 8-pin SOIC and 20-pin TSSOP PowerPAD (PWP) packages.
