This document describes the features and characteristics of the X40010/X40011/X40014/X40015 Dual Voltage Monitor with Integrated CPU Supervisor, including dual voltage detection and reset assertion, independent core voltage monitor, fault detection register, selectable power on reset timeout and watchdog timer interval, low power CMOS design, and applications in communication equipment, industrial systems, and computer systems.
The Xicor X40010/11/14/15 is a Dual Voltage Monitor with Integrated CPU Supervisor designed for communication equipment, industrial systems, and computer systems. It combines power-on reset control, watchdog timer, supply voltage supervision, and secondary voltage supervision in a single package to lower system cost and increase reliability.
| Standby Current (typical) | 25µA with watchdog on; 6µA with watchdog off |
|---|---|
| Interface Speed | 400kHz |
| Power Supply Operation Range | 2.7V to 5.5V |
| Available Packages | 8-lead SOIC, TSSOP |
The microprocessor must toggle the SDA pin HIGH to LOW periodically while SCL toggles; failure to do so within the timeout interval activates the WDO signal.
The typical standby current is 25µA when the watchdog timer is active.
Users can select a power-on reset timeout of 0.05s, 0.2s, 0.4s, or 0.8s.
The reset signal stays valid until the supply voltage drops below 1V.
