About this manual

The Xicor X28C010 is a 128K x 8 bit, 5 volt, byte alterable E2PROM fabricated with Xicor's proprietary high performance floating gate CMOS technology. It is a 5V only device compatible with industry standard EPROMs and features a JEDEC approved pinout for byte-wide memories.

The device supports a 256-byte page write operation, enabling the entire memory to be typically written in less than 2.5 seconds. Key features include simple byte and page write operations, self-timed programming without external high voltages, and early end of write detection via DATA Polling and Toggle Bit Polling. It also offers both hardware and software data protection options to safeguard nonvolatile data against inadvertent writes.
