This document introduces a motherboard that supports AM3/Socket AM2+/AM2 processors, integrates NVIDIA 8200 display core, supports NVIDIA Hybrid SLI technology, has dual VGA output interfaces, and supports multiple exclusive features of ASRock.
The K10N78M Pro is a Micro‑ATX motherboard (9.6" × 7.5") that supports AMD Socket AM2+, AM2 and AM3 processors such as Phenom II, Athlon II and Sempron. It offers two DDR2 DIMM slots for up to 8 GB of non‑ECC memory, a PCI Express 2.0 × 16 slot, a PCI Express × 1 slot, and six USB 2.0 ports. Integrated graphics are provided by an NVIDIA GeForce 8200 chip with DVI‑D and D‑Sub outputs, while audio is handled by a Realtek ALC662 5.1‑channel codec. The board includes four SATA II ports with RAID 0/1/0+1/5/JBOD support and a Gigabit Ethernet controller with Wake‑On‑LAN.
The BIOS features ASRock Instant Boot, allowing the system to start in 3‑4 seconds, and Instant Flash, which enables BIOS updates directly from a USB drive. Additional BIOS options include Smart BIOS, Boot Failure Guard, and support for Hyper‑Transport 3.0.
