About this manual

The DAC7642 and DAC7643 are dual‑channel, 16‑bit digital‑to‑analog converters offering 15‑bit monotonic performance over a –40 °C to +85 °C temperature range. They accept 16‑bit parallel data, provide double‑buffered inputs, data read‑back, and can be reset to mid‑scale (DAC7642) or zero‑scale (DAC7643). Low power consumption (4 mW) and a compact LQFP‑32 package make them suitable for test equipment, DAC‑per‑pin programmers, data‑acquisition systems, and closed‑loop servo control.

The datasheet details absolute maximum ratings, supply options (single +5 V or dual ±5 V), output voltage ranges (0 to +2.5 V or –2.5 V to +2.5 V), settling time (10 µs to 0.003 % FSR), and pin assignments. Package drawing, ordering information and an important notice about warranty and availability are also included.
