The LOGDAC AD7111/AD7111A are monolithic multiplying D/A converters featuring wide dynamic range in a small pack- age. Both DACs can attenuate an analog input signal over the range 0 dB to 88.5 dB in 0.375 dB steps. They are available in 16-pin DIPs and SOIC packages. The AD7111 is also available in a 20-terminal LCCC package.
The LOGDAC AD7111/AD7111A is a monolithic multiplying D/A converter featuring a wide 0 dB to 88.5 dB attenuation range in 0.375 dB steps. It is offered in 16‑pin DIP, SOIC and 20‑pin LCCC packages and can be interfaced to a standard 8‑bit MPU bus via an 8‑bit data port and control lines. The AD7111 uses an edge‑triggered WR input, while the AD7111A provides a level‑triggered WR for transparent latch operation.
The device operates from a +5 V supply, draws up to 4 mA, and provides specifications such as 0.375 dB resolution, ±0.1 dB gain error, and input high/low thresholds of 2.4 V/0.8 V. Detailed electrical characteristics, ordering information, pin configurations, and performance graphs are included for design guidance.
