AD5259 is a non-battery 256-position digital potentiometer from Analog Devices, features 256 positions, I2C-compatible interface, 5kΩ/10kΩ/50kΩ/100kΩ four resistance values, ±1% accuracy, ≤1ms EEPROM refresh time, 100 years typical data retention time, 3V~5V single power supply, etc., suitable for LCD panel VCOM adjustment, LCD panel brightness and contrast control, mechanical potentiometer replacement, programmable power supply, RF amplifier biasing, etc. applications
The AD5259 digital potentiometer provides 256‑position adjustment in a compact LFCSP‑10 or MSOP‑10 package. It features nonvolatile memory that retains wiper settings, EEPROM‑stored tolerance, and a VIOAIC pin for flexible interfacing. Up to four devices can share a single I²C bus using address pins ADO and AD1.
The device operates from a single 3 V or 5 V supply, supports end‑to‑end resistances of 5 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, or 100 kΩ, and is rated for a temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C. Data retention is specified for 100 years at 55 °C, and EEPROM endurance exceeds 700 k cycles.
| Package options | Thin LFCSP‑10 (3 mm × 3 mm × 0.8 mm) or Compact MSOP‑10 (3 mm × 4.9 mm × 1.1 mm) |
