About this manual

The DAC8221 combines two identical 12‑bit multiplying digital‑to‑analog converters into a single CMOS chip. It is offered in narrow 0.3" 24‑pin DIP, plastic DIP, hermetic DIP and TO‑can packages and operates from a single +5 V to +15 V supply. The device features matched DAC channels, four‑quadrant multiplication, improved ESD resistance and low power dissipation.

Typical applications include automatic test equipment, industrial automation, robotics, programmable instrumentation and battery‑operated equipment. The datasheet lists absolute maximum ratings, detailed electrical characteristics, pin connections, functional diagrams and timing specifications for designers.
