This document introduces the features of Microchip Technology Inc. 25AA080/25LC080/ 25C080 (25XX080*), including product features, package types, operating voltage, maximum clock frequency, and working temperature range
The 25AA080, 25LC080, and 25C080 are 8‑Kbit Serial EEPROMs accessed via a standard SPI bus. They operate from 1.8 V to 5.5 V (25AA080), 2.5 V to 5.5 V (25LC080) or 4.5 V to 5.5 V (25C080) and support clock frequencies up to 3 MHz. The devices are offered in 8‑pin PDIP and SOIC packages and provide 1024 × 8‑bit memory organization.
Key features include a HOLD pin for pausing communication, write‑protect pin options, up to 1 M write‑endurance cycles, data retention of over 200 years, and ESD protection exceeding 4000 V. Typical currents are 3 mA write, 500 µA read, and 500 nA standby.
