About this manual

The MAX9986A mixer provides high‑linearity conversion with an integrated double‑balanced passive core, LO buffer, SPDT switch and on‑chip baluns for single‑ended RF and LO inputs. It operates from 815 MHz to 1000 MHz RF, 960 MHz to 1180 MHz LO and 50 MHz to 250 MHz IF, and is supplied at 4.75‑5.25 V with a typical supply current of 250 mA.

The device is offered in a 20‑pin thin QFN package (5 mm × 5 mm) with an exposed paddle, rated for –40 °C to +85 °C. Detailed electrical characteristics, pin functions, and layout recommendations are provided for RF, LO, and IF interfacing.
