MAX9986 is a high-linearity downconversion mixer that provides 10dB gain, +23.6dBm IIP3, and 9.3dB NF for frequencies from 815MHz to 995MHz.
The MAX9986 is a SiGe high‑linearity downconversion mixer designed for base‑station receivers. It offers 10 dB conversion gain, +23.6 dBm third‑order intercept point and a low 9.3 dB noise figure across an 815 MHz to 995 MHz RF range. Integrated features include a double‑balanced passive mixer core, an IF amplifier, a dual‑input LO SPDT switch, an LO buffer, and on‑chip baluns for single‑ended RF and LO inputs.
The device is supplied in a 20‑pin thin QFN package with an exposed paddle and operates from –40 °C to +85 °C. Typical supply current is below 265 mA and the nominal LO drive requirement is 0 dBm. Pin‑out, absolute maximum ratings, DC/AC electrical characteristics and typical operating curves are provided in the data sheet.
