ADuM2400/ADuM2401/ADuM2402 is a four-channel digital isolator launched by Analog Devices. It features low power consumption, bidirectional communication, 3V/5V level translation, high temperature operation, high data rate, precise timing characteristics, high common-mode transient immunity and other features.
The ADuM240x family are quad‑channel digital isolators that combine high‑speed CMOS with monolithic air‑core transformer technology. They operate from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, support bidirectional communication, and offer low power consumption and precise timing.
Typical applications include general‑purpose high‑voltage isolation, medical equipment, motor drives, and power supplies. The handbook also lists regulatory approvals (UL, CSA, IEC, VDE) and provides detailed electrical characteristics, package data, and ordering information.
| Maximum Data Rate (CRWZ grade) | 90 Mbps |
|---|---|
| Minimum Pulse Width (CRWZ grade) | 8.3 ns |
| Common‑Mode Transient Immunity | >25 kV/ps |
The ADuM2400 CRWZ grade supports a maximum data rate of 90 Mbps.
They operate with supply voltages ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V on either side of the isolation barrier.
The RI‑16 package is approved by UL (5000 V rms for 1 min per UL 1577), CSA, IEC 60601‑1, IEC 60950‑1, VDE, and DIN V VDE V 0884‑10.
