ADuM5000 is an integrated, isolated DC-to-DC converter with adjustable 3.3V or 5V output voltage and up to 500mW output power. It comes in a 16-lead SOIC package with a 7.6mm creepage distance and can operate at temperatures up to 105°C. The product is certified by UL, CSA, and VDE, and features thermal overload protection. It is suitable for applications such as RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers, industrial field bus isolation, power supply startups and gate drives, isolated sensor interfaces, and industrial PLCs.
The ADuM5000 isolated DC‑DC converter uses Analog Devices’ iCoupler® technology to provide regulated, isolated power in several input‑output voltage combinations. It is supplied in a 16‑lead SOIC package and is intended for industrial field‑bus isolation, sensor interfaces, PLCs and other applications requiring safe power separation.
The device features built‑in thermal overload protection, UL and CSA safety approvals, and can operate as a master, slave or standalone unit. Typical performance includes up to 34 % efficiency at maximum output current and a switching frequency of 180 MHz.
