ADuM2200/ADuM2201 is a 5kV isolator launched by Analog Devices. It has the characteristics of high isolation voltage, low power consumption, bidirectional communication, 3V/5V level translation, high temperature operation, high data rate, precise timing characteristics, and high common-mode transient immunity.
The ADuM2200 and ADuM2201 are dual‑channel digital isolators based on Analog Devices' Coupler™ technology. They provide high‑voltage isolation (up to 5 kV rms) and support bidirectional communication with level translation between 3 V and 5 V systems. Typical applications include medical equipment, power supplies, and RS‑232/RS‑422/RS‑485 transceiver isolation.
Key features include low quiescent supply current (0.3‑0.8 mA per channel), selectable supply voltage (3 V‑5.5 V), maximum data rates of 1 Mbps (AR grade) or 10 Mbps (BR grade), and robust common‑mode transient immunity (>25 kV/µs). The devices are available in 16‑lead SOIC packages with UL and IEC safety approvals.
| Isolation voltage | 5000 V rms |
|---|---|
| Maximum data rate (BR grade) | 10 Mbps |
| Common‑mode transient immunity | ≥25 kV/µs |
The devices are rated for a high isolation voltage of 5000 V rms.
The BR‑grade version supports up to 10 Mbps data rate.
