This document describes the features and characteristics of SAA5264 and SAA5265 intelligent teletext decoders, including a complete 625 line teletext decoder in one chip, automatic detection of transmitted fastext links or service information, on-screen display for user interface menus, video programming system decoding, wide screen signalling decoding, support for multiple character sets, high-level command interface via I2C-bus, backward compatibility with Stand-Alone Fastext And Remote Interface (SAFARI), support for 625 and 525 line display, etc.
