This document introduces the features and characteristics of M95040, M95020, M95010 4Kbit, 2Kbit and 1Kbit Serial SPI Bus EEPROM With High Speed Clock, including compatible with SPI Bus Serial Interface (Positive Clock SPI Modes), single supply voltage, high clock rate, status register, byte and page write, self-timed programming cycle, adjustable size read-only EEPROM area, enhanced ESD protection, more than 1 million erase/write cycles, more than 40 years of data storage
The M95040 family provides serial EEPROM memory accessed via a high‑speed SPI‑compatible bus. The devices differ only in capacity—4 Kbit (M95040), 2 Kbit (M95020) and 1 Kbit (M95010)—but share the same pin‑out, command set and timing.
Electrical specifications include a single‑supply operation (4.5‑5.5 V for standard parts, 2.5‑5.5 V for ‑W variants, 1.8‑5.5 V for ‑R variants), up to 10 MHz clock rate, 5 ms write time, >1 million erase/write cycles and >40‑year data retention. The parts are offered in PDIP‑8, SO‑8 and TSSOP‑8 packages.
| Supply Voltage (M950x0) | 4.5 V to 5.5 V |
|---|---|
| Supply Voltage (M950x0‑W) | 2.5 V to 5.5 V |
| Supply Voltage (M950x0‑R) | 1.8 V to 5.5 V |
| Maximum Clock Rate | 10 MHz |
| Write Time | 5 ms |
| Erase/Write Cycle Endurance | >1 Million cycles |
