The TFDU8108 transceiver is a low-power consumption infrared transceiver module compliant with the IrDA physical layer standard for VFIR infrared data communication. It supports speeds up to 16 Mbit/s (VFIR) and carrier-based remote control modes up to 2 MHz. The module integrates a PIN photodiode, an infrared emitter (IRED), and a low-power BiCMOS control IC. It is available in the BabyFace package, providing flexibility for various applications and space constraints. The transceiver can directly interface with a wide variety of I/O devices and requires only a VCC bypass capacitor to implement a complete solution.
