About this manual

The AVX INVA series provides high‑voltage multilayer ceramic (MLC) chip capacitors for applications such as snubbers, resonators, and DC blocking. The chips are offered with COG and X7R dielectrics, feature low ESR at high frequencies, and are supplied in standard surface‑mount sizes.

Special handling is required for the larger chip sizes: preheat must be applied at less than 4 °C per second, and the maximum preheat temperature must stay within 60 °C of the soldering temperature. Reflow soldering is recommended for sizes 1808 and larger, with a solder temperature limit of 230 °C.
