About this manual

The ADF7020 is a highly integrated, low‑power transceiver designed for license‑free ISM bands at 433 MHz, 868 MHz and 915 MHz (and 950 MHz for Japanese RFID). It supports FSK, ASK, OOK, GFSK, MSK and GMSK modulation modes and includes on‑chip VCO, fractional‑N PLL, 7‑bit ADC, temperature sensor and automatic frequency control, making it suitable for wireless data transfer, remote‑control, keyless entry and home‑automation applications.

Key features include a programmable output power range of –16 dBm to +13 dBm, a supply voltage range of 2.3 V‑3.6 V, receive sensitivity down to –119 dBm at 1 kbps, and low current consumption (19 mA receive, 26.8 mA transmit at 10 dBm). The device is offered in a 48‑lead LFCSP package and provides a simple 3‑wire serial interface for configuration and readback of registers, ADC values and status flags.
