SHT7x is a humidity and temperature sensor with fully calibrated, digital output, low power consumption, excellent long term stability and pin type package – easy integration.
The SHT7x family (including SHT71 and SHT75) are fully calibrated relative humidity and temperature sensors with a digital output. They combine a capacitive humidity element and a band‑gap temperature element in a compact pin‑type package, offering low power consumption, high stability, and a 14‑bit temperature/12‑bit humidity resolution.
The guide details operating conditions, recommended soldering practices, storage handling, wiring considerations, and the 2‑wire serial interface (SCK, DATA) with pull‑up resistors. Electrical characteristics, command sets, measurement procedures, and conversion formulas are provided, along with reconditioning steps for sensors exposed to extreme conditions.
| Supply voltage range | 2.4 V – 5.5 V |
|---|---|
| Recommended supply voltage | 3 V (typ.) |
| Resolution | 14‑bit temperature, 12‑bit humidity |
| Typical accuracy (temperature) | ±0.4 °C (typ.) |
| Operating humidity range | 0 % – 100 % RH |
| Power consumption (average measurement) | ≈150 µW |
The sensor operates with a supply voltage between 2.4 V and 5.5 V, with 3 V typical for best accuracy.
Bake the sensor at 100 – 106 °C at <5 %RH for 10 h, then re‑hydrate at 20 – 30 °C and ~75 %RH for 12 h.
The EK‑H3 kit allows parallel use of up to 20 SHT7x sensors.
