The L78xx family of three‑terminal positive voltage regulators is offered in TO‑220, TO‑220FP, TO‑3, D‑PAK and D‑PAK packages with fixed output voltages ranging from 5 V to 24 V. Each device includes internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe‑area protection, allowing reliable operation up to 1.5 A when adequate heat sinking is provided.
