TS556 is a dual CMOS timer that offers very low power consumption and high frequency. It provides accurate timing in both monostable and astable modes. The TS556 reduces supply current spikes during output transitions, allowing for the use of lower decoupling capacitors. Timing capacitors can also be minimized due to high input impedance.
