bq2060 is a battery fuel gauge IC produced by ti company. It can measure battery voltage, current, remaining capacity, and provide battery remaining run-time predictions. bq2060 supports 2-wire SMBus v1.1 interface or 1-wire HDQ16 measurement, and can monitor and provide control to charge and discharge FETs in Li-Ion protection circuit.
The bq2060 gas‑gauge IC provides accurate measurement of available charge in rechargeable batteries and supports both the 2‑wire SMBus v1.1 and 1‑Wire HDQ16 interfaces. It reports individual cell voltages, monitors charge‑ and discharge‑FETs, and drives a 4‑ or 5‑segment LED display for remaining capacity indication.
The device is supplied in a 28‑pin 150‑mil SSOP package, consumes less than 0.5 mW in operation, and offers 15‑bit resolution for voltage, temperature and current measurements. It works with an external EEPROM for configuration and includes a programmable self‑discharge rate and automatic offset calibration.
