NXP BTA416Y Series B and C Triac Datasheet

This document describes a new generation of high commutation triacs with internal insulation in a TO-220 plastic package. The features include high commutation performance, high immunity to dV/dt, isolated mounting base, 2500V RMS isolation voltage, and high operating junction temperature. It is suitable for heating and cooking appliances, non-linear rectifier-fed motor loads, high power motor control (such as vacuum cleaners), electronic thermostats for heating and cooling loads, solid-state relays, etc.
