Philips Semiconductor NE/SA/SE532 LM258/358/A/2904 DATA SHEET

LM258/358/A/2904 is a pair of independent, high gain, internally frequency-compensated operational amplifiers specifically designed to operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. Operation from dual power supplies is also possible, and the low power supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of the power supply voltage.

About this manual

The LM258, LM358, and LM2904 are low‑power dual operational amplifiers designed for single‑supply operation over a wide voltage range. They feature internally frequency‑compensated stages, low supply current drain, and temperature‑compensated input bias and offset characteristics.

The data sheet provides electrical characteristics, absolute maximum ratings, ordering codes for various SOIC and DIP packages, typical performance curves, and example application circuits. It also includes mechanical dimensions and packaging information for designers.

Frequently asked questions

How much supply current does the LM258/LM358/LM2904 draw?

Typical supply current drain is about 400 µA, essentially independent of the supply voltage.

What is the maximum output current the amplifiers can source or sink?

The maximum output current is approximately 40 mA, regardless of the supply voltage.
