This document is the instruction manual for HR 4342, which introduces the features and usage methods of the product.
This manual explains how to install, operate and maintain the Philips HR 4342 air cleaner. It describes the three‑stage filter system (prefilter, HEPA filter and active carbon filters), safety precautions, and the speed control settings.
Guidelines for placing the unit, cleaning the prefilter, checking and replacing the HEPA and carbon filters, and handling the automatic cut‑out protection are included, along with technical data such as power consumption and CADR values.
| Power consumption (high setting) | 60 W |
|---|---|
| CADR (high speed) | 89 m³/h |
| CADR (normal speed) | 91 m³/h |
| CADR (turbo speed) | 93 m³/h |
Replace the carbon granules every 6 months for light use, every 3 months for moderate use, and every 1.5 months for heavy use.
Remove the prefilter, wash it or vacuum‑clean it, rinse if washing‑up liquid was used, and let it dry naturally before reinstalling.
It shuts off the motor when the appliance becomes too hot to prevent overheating damage.
Replace the HEPA filter when its colour matches the darkest shade on the HEPA filter replacement indicator.
