About this manual

The ADP1829 is a versatile dual, interleaved, synchronous PWM buck controller that provides two independent output rails from an input of 3.0 V to 18 V (up to 24 V with the internal regulator). Each channel can be set to output voltages from 0.6 V up to 85 % of the input voltage, and the two channels operate 180° out of phase, reducing input‑capacitor stress and allowing smaller, low‑cost components.

Features include selectable fixed switching frequencies of 300 kHz or 600 kHz (or synchronization up to 1 MHz), soft‑start, thermal overload, current‑limit and reverse‑current protection, an internal linear regulator, and voltage‑tracking inputs for sequencing or DDR termination. The device is offered in a 5 mm × 5 mm 32‑lead LFCSP package and targets applications such as telecommunications, medical imaging, base‑station power, set‑top boxes, printers, and DDR termination.
